San Antonio, a thriving city located in South Central Texas, supports population of 1.1 million. The city, state and local non-profit and private organizations, provides its citizens with many services and facilities dedicated to mental health issues. With a growing population, San Antonio mental health related issues are on the rise. These types of programs are what residents often turn to when looking for education, information and treatment of such illnesses.
The Texas Department of Aging and Disability Services is one such program offered to the residents of San Antonio. The service’s provided by the state are often low cost or free to residents. The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio: This group has multiple facilities that provide full range of professional health services, including mental health care with locations throughout the city.
